She wasn’t one for extremes
She appreciated subtle things
She longed for October’s and April’s
But also appreciated the gentle warmth of September and May
And the few days in November and December that feel more sunny than usual
He was a nice mixture
He made everyday feel as though she was in the midst of her favorite season
Even if she wasn’t quite sure what that was
She just knew she wasn’t cold
She was perfectly comfortable
And her seasonal coffee was out
